Japan given ‘Gold’ standard as a LGBT-friendly workplace for fourth year

‘Work with Pride’ awards Deutsche Bank top accreditation once again

Work with Pride, a voluntary organisation that promotes LGBT-inclusive workplaces in Japan, has awarded Deutsche Bank with a ‘gold’ standard as LGBT-friendly workplace for the fourth year running.

Collecting the award, Mieko Goto, a leading member of dbPride Japan said: “We are honored to be recognised for our efforts as we are fully committed to improving workplace inclusion. We have more colleagues becoming allies to create a positive, supportive and inclusive working environment for everyone regardless of their background.”
Deutsche Bank was one of 194 companies recognised at an awards ceremony in Tokyo last week, signaling positive momentum for fostering inclusive workplaces across industries.
Diversity is the norm at Deutsche Bank
Tomoka Miho, a Chairperson for the Diversity and Inclusion Forum Japan, commented “We believe that a workplace that respects human rights, diversity and individuality is critical for the bank as a whole. Receiving the gold standard for four years in a row is very encouraging, and we continue working for an inclusive environment.”
“This award underscores that cultural and social diversity are the norm at Deutsche Bank. We are built on diversity and inclusion that allows our staff to optimise their talents and to bring their whole selves to work in confidence,”
said Tamio Honma, Japan’s Chief Country Officer, added.
