Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation receives Corporate Philanthropic Award from The Bronx Museum
Award recognizes nearly 20-year commitment to community engagement and arts education
Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation (DBAF) received the Corporate Philanthropic Award from The Bronx Museum of the Arts in recognition of its commitment to the museum and the communities it serves, spanning almost twenty years. The award was presented at the museum’s 2024 Gala & Art Auction.
Joseph Mizzi, Bronx Museum Board Chair presented the award to Alessandra DiGiusto, Head of CSR Americas and Executive Director of the Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation. "For nearly two decades Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation has supported programs deeply rooted in community engagement and arts education programs helping us build a school partnerships curriculum and ensuring that low-income Bronx youth have access to arts instruction and resources.”
The event was attended by over 375 artists, musicians and industry leaders from financial services, real estate, fashion, technology and more. Also honored were acclaimed artist Sanford Biggers with the Art & Social Justice Award, as well as three-time Grammy-winning, Bronx-born jazz singer Samara Joy with the Visionary Award.
The Bronx Museum is the only free contemporary art museum offering exhibitions and educational programs for K-12 public school students, as well as public programs for the Bronx community. Founded in 1971 by local leaders and activists, the museum has served its communities and highlighted the work of cutting-edge contemporary artists and musicians. In addition, the museum organizes hundreds of exhibitions featuring works by culturally diverse and under-represented artists from across the globe.
