Partnership
The UK Charity of the Year programme is a two-year partnership with a pioneering charity aiming to address society’s most pressing issues by working with an expert organisation in the space. Since 1999, the programme has raised over £31million and has enabled strategic growth for 30 charities by utilising Deutsche Bank employee skills, knowledge and expertise. The partnership’s overriding ambition is to create a legacy by delivering meaningful impact for the charity and the issue it aims to address.
Charity of the Year 2026-27
One in seven children and young people in the UK arrive at school with empty tummies. Hunger doesn’t just affect learning; it impacts a child’s chance to thrive.
Each morning, Magic Breakfast supports hundreds of thousands of school children at schools in disadvantaged communities with nutritious breakfasts. For these pupils, breakfast isn’t just about food. It’s a moment of stability for those facing uncertainty. A non-stigmatising start for families navigating poverty. A consistent, nurturing environment that supports well-being and readiness to learn.
Magic Breakfast works to make sure every child can access a consistent, nurturing environment for breakfast, one that enables them to learn and thrive. Because the magic isn’t an extra. It’s essential.
Charity of the Year 2024-25
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity. Its nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, life-changing practical and emotional support to families affected by dementia. Working on Dementia UK's free Helpline, in online and phone appointments and in communities across the UK, they are a lifeline for the whole family.
Over £2.2 million was raised for Dementia UK during the partnership, and thousands of employees generously volunteered their time to support the charity. This incredible total could fund 30 brand new Admiral Nurses on Dementia UK's Helpline and in the community. Together, we have taken steps towards the charity's vision of a world where no one faces dementia alone.
If you or anyone you know are affected by dementia, please contact the Deutsche Bank Dementia Support Group or Dementia UK for support via www.dementiauk.org. You can also call the Helpline on 0800 888 6678

What people are saying
“With 2.1 million children in the UK at risk of hunger, Magic Breakfast are excited to be working with Deutsche Bank to end child morning hunger now and for good. With the incredible dedication that Deutsche Bank employees give to everything, their support could mean that every school day over the next two years, 15,000 children and young people have access to a nutritious breakfast and a nurturing environment to start their day. We know that a school breakfast is more than just food; they can ensure that every child is nourished, thriving and able to learn.
This partnership comes at a pivotal moment for our mission as we launch our new 15-year strategy – Nourishing Futures. Every penny raised through the partnership is propelling our mission forward and maximising our impact.
On behalf of Magic Breakfast and the children and young people we exist to support, thank you for standing with us as your UK Charity of the Year 2026 – 27. Together, we can achieve a future where every child is nourished, empowered, and thriving. One, magical, breakfast at a time.”
